OKTOBER recombines historical sources and materials into a new context, akin to the processing of daily actual events through dreams. A blend of 1970s landmarks – like the failed social housing project Pruitt-Igoe, which is reconstructed from floor plans, the mug shots of RAF members and the German Tagesschau moderator Wilhelm Wieben who structures the video into different acts – sets the historical situations and emotions into a contemporary perspective. Modern technologies like Motion Capture and AI voice recreation are employed to recreate the significants of a bygone era, which mirrors ours in many facets.
